Practice regular tyre pressure maintenance. Tyre pressure checks should be carried out every day on trucks and high speed equipment and once a week on low speed equipment. |

Make regular tyre jewellery checks. Make weekly checks on valve caps (all are in place), valve cores (check for leaks), valve extensions (check condition), valve stems (check tightness), valve spuds (check condition and tightness). |

Carry out tyre operating environment checks.* Identify and upgrade areas that can be improved, i.e. potholes, debris on road surface etc. * Applicable in controlled circumstances only (e.g. mine sites, vehicle depots etc). |
